Penguin Recovery; Recover from Manual spam action

After the latest penguin update many sites were subjected to manual web-spam action. When Google tries something new to improve their search results many sites around the world get affected positively or negatively. Now that penguin came and lot of sites got a  heavy damage to their page rank and their position in search engine result page for some or all keywords. If your site got a manual web-spam action message then you obviously have to worry a little, because you are now in the black list of Google.

Why Penguin attacks your site?

Penguin algorithm is designed to monitor the back links to a website, so if your site have unnatural back links then the penguin may attack you...

Back links from any of below are considered unnatural back-links

Site wide links
Links from same class C ip sites/directories
Irrelevant site
Other language site
Network directories(Color directory)
Low quality directory
Links from Low quality article
Links from Low quality bookmarking sites
Paid sites
Link farms
Links from paid writings
The list continues......................

Its good to audit the links to your site every once in a while so that you can be sure that no unnatural link is pointing to your site. If  you are already under attack and received a manual action notification don't panic, there is a way out. You can take the list of back-links to your site from the webmaster tools and examine them to find the bad quality ones, if you have hundreds of links to your site then it may take some time to find the black sheep.  Once you find those you can contact the admin of particular site and request them to remove the links from it, if its not possible you can use the Disavow tool to clean up the mess. If you are thinking to hire some help, choose wisely... Choose some one with history success else you may end up worse.
